How long have you been doing what you do, and what experience do you have?
Dr. David IM Robinson is the principal Cataract, Lasik/Laser eye surgeon at Sydney Laser & Vision Centre, and has been practicing cataract and laser eye surgery for the past 15 years. He has personally performed over 7,000 Cataract and Laser eye surgeries.
Dr. Robinson is an experienced Corneal and Cataract eye surgeon who has an extensive educational and training background. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney, and he underwent an advanced corneal fellowship year at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Robinson also received an additional, international fellowship training at Hadassah Hospital located in Jerusalem, Israel. He is a doctor who has specialised in eye surgery for 4 years, then further sub-specialised again in cornea and laser refractive surgery over 2 years. He has been involved in cataract and laser refractive surgery since LASIK was introduced to Australia in 1996.
What are your qualifications?
Dr David Robinson’s qualifications are Fellowships with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO). He is a member of the Australian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (AUSCRS), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS).

Our free initial consultation is very comprehensive. It includes multiple measurements of your eyes utilising instruments such as the Pentacam and OCT. This consultation allows us to determine which procedure is most appropriate for you as well as an opportunity to answer all your questions.
